Senates long August vacation is cut short. Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mc. Connell also said that once the Senate completes its work on health care reform it would turn to other bills, including the National Defense Authorization act, along with nominations that Republicans blame the Democrats for, as Mc. Connell said a new version of the health care bill would arrive Thursday, with a fresh Congressional Budget Office score available early next week, which would then be proceeded by a vote.
